This is what happens when a Kei car breaks into a Formula 1 garage. How much downforce do you need for 68hp? Apparently not enough!
Rally cars should always be shown in mid flight.
I love the long haul work trucks. This is a combination work/race truck with all kinds of tools and even a flatbed for carrying crashed cars.
Fun rally car sketch from my sketchbook. Massive air intakes!
Quick digital sketch of a high speed attack bomber.
Here are some digital offroad sketches. Buggies, weird trucks, etc.
Off road racing with an old school muscle car.
I was having some fun with different types of open and closed wheel racecars.
Here a a few drawings out of my sketchbook that I thought looked cool. They are early Nascar inspired with long overhangs, meaty tires, and of course a big wing!
I was experimenting with designing warbirds straight on the computer or the old fashion way, by hand.
The post war lead sleds are amazingly beautiful in detail and proportion. They are rolling automotive art. Here is a modern interpretation of a lead sled with modern detailing but classic proportioning.
I liked my initial sketch of this lead sled. Here is a comparison with the 3 stages of this design from beginning to end.
It's time to kill some Nazis!
Modern day pony cars just scream "America"! With their big flares and long hood, it's a super fun proportion to work with.
Who doesn't love the RV Meth lab from Breaking Bad? Here's my own super clapped out RV drug lab in that great 70's retro style.
I wanted to design a very organic and very yellow car. I love the idea of a front engine LMP car, it creates a cab rearward proportion which is very cool.
This was a fun lighting exercise for myself. I was practicing lighting a shiny car from the reverse side and using subtle warm to cool color shifts to accentuate the form.
This is a study of how I put together my vehicle renderings from initial sketch to final image.
Shiny & reflective fun!
